My name is Pilar Roda Díez and I have always had a passion for languages. Learning and improving my language skills has always driven my career.
That led me to obtain my BA in Translation and Interpreting from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain). I studied my third year at Université Charles de
Gaulle - Lille III (France), as part of an exchange program, where I started my specialisation in legal and medical translation.
When I finished my university degree I decided to move to London where I lived for several years, and where I obtained my MA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of
Westminster and worked as a freelancer.
I recently moved to Brussels where I keep working as a freelance conference interpreter and translator.
I am also member of ASETRAD (Asociación Española de Correctores, Traductores e Intérpretes).
As part of my career, I keep learning, improving my skills and broadening my knowledge, and that is why I attend webinars, courses and workshops, such as:
"Traducir el Derecho como un jurista", by Lola Gamboa. "La justicia en España", provided by Alicia Martorell and Lucie Davioud.
"Seis conceptos esenciales del Derecho mercantil", provided by Ruth Gámez and Fernando Cuñado.
"Wake up call: Health and Social Care Interpreting for interpreters and service providers", by PSIT Network at London Metropolitan University.
